FOD Engineer

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced FOD Engineer to support our field operations in Azerbaijan.

The FOD Engineer will be responsible for overseeing elevator and escalator installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, modernization, and service activities. The role will ensure that all field operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Mitsubishi Electric’s quality, technical, and safety standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, consultants, contractors, project teams, and field technicians to support timely project execution, operational excellence, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate elevator and escalator installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, modernization, and service activities.
• Ensure all field operations comply with Mitsubishi Electric policies, quality standards, technical requirements, and safety procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, equipment assessments, and technical audits.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-system-related issues.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and installation documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, customers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders on project execution and technical matters.
• Monitor field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
• Prepare service reports, commissioning records, inspection reports, and other technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, industry standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and technical investigations related to elevator and escalator systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 7–8 years of relevant experience in field engineering, service engineering, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or related operations.
• Experience in the elevator and escalator industry is highly preferred.
• Candidates with relevant experience in industrial automation, electromechanical systems, or building services equipment will also be considered.

Language Requirements

• Fluency in English, Russian, and Azerbaijani is highly preferred.
